MotoGP – Next week will be decisive to see Pedrosa in Qatar

Next week will be the decisive one to understand if Dani Pedrosa will be able to be at the start of the first GP of the 2009 season in the MotoGP class. The Spanish rider for Team Honda Repsol injured his knee and forearm after a bad highside in Qatar. The forearm had been operated on and the operation was successful but the problem remains the knee (already injured in the Australian GP last October), on which a skin transplant was necessary. Pedrosa obviously missed the latest Jerez tests, here's what a Team Repsol spokesperson told crash.net.
“We don't know anything yet, we will have to wait until next week to confirm whether Dani (Pedrosa, ed.) will go to Qatar. He is recovering well, but we have to wait.
