Jorge Lorenzo, as already written in previous news, is on holiday in Bali after having been around Indonesia as a spokesperson for Yamaha. The Majorcan rider, 2010 MotoGP world champion, knows that reconfirming himself at the top of the premier class will not be easy, especially with the Rossi-Ducati and Stoner-Honda innovations. Lorenzo fears Stoner many more than Rossi, here are his words about next season as reported by Crash.net.

“I feel very lucky to be a Yamaha champion and rider. But now we start again from the beginning, we have to concentrate on 2011. I think the most dangerous opponent will be Stoner, because we are the fastest and seeing the result of the Valencia test, our best times were very close. Nobody knows what will happen in Qatar. The night race is beautiful, but different and perhaps in Qatar the winner will be another rider, neither me nor Casey (Stoner).”

Lorenzo then spoke about former teammate Valentino Rossi
“He only rode for two days with the Ducati so it's too early to make a judgement. He's a great sportsman, he has a good image, he's won nine world titles, he's really a talent and he's capable of winning with Ducati... But remember, Ducati won the title with Casey (Stoner) alone.”

Lorenzo then talked about what his bike would need to be more competitive
“Now we (Yamaha) have to be smart and understand the conditions of the bike. Basically we need more power and greater acceleration. This year we will have a different bike. I have new teammate (Ben Spies), who is young and energetic. The competition will be more interesting.”
