MotoGP Jerez, Free Practice: Ben Spies “We have solved several problems, let's see how we go tomorrow”
The American found a good setup but has grip problems which still slow him down
di Antonello D'AmoreApril 27, 2012
Ben Spies, despite finishing only 9th fastest, 2.6 seconds behind Pedrosa and a second and a half slower than his teammate Lorenzo, he feels moderately satisfied. With his team he managed to find a good set up for his track, although It has major grip problems with covers.
“Today went well – Spies said – we started with the wet track, and we had to lose time with the tire pressure. In the end we solved the problem and also made some changes to the bike until we found the best possible feeling. Unfortunately with the new set up of the bike, the tires had very bad grip and therefore the times I achieved in the end were not good. But I think everyone has grip problems today with these conditions. Let's see what we can do tomorrow."
