Alvaro Bautista achieved the sixth fastest time on the first day of the Spanish Grand Prix in the MotoGP class. The Spanish rider from Team Gresini (who lapped in 1' 40” 507), however, has no feeling with the rear of his Honda RC213V. Precisely this however gives him hope, by getting himself right he will be able to move up positions given that those in front are not far away. The word is up to him.

“Today I didn't feel particularly comfortable with the bike because already since this morning's session I had problems with the traction of the rear wheel. In all the corners as soon as I opened the throttle the bike slipped. In the afternoon we tried to intervene to find a solution but at the moment we were unable to find it. The gap from those ahead of us is not huge and considering that the moment we manage to resolve this problem we will be able to improve so much, we are confident that we can get significantly closer to those ahead of us. At this track it is very important to be able to have the confidence to open the throttle and I am convinced that my team will find the solutions for tomorrow and history will change significantly."
