There is no good news coming from the medical center of Jerez de la Frontera. Danilo Petrucci, rider of Iodaracing, reported the fracture of the radial styloid of the left wrist in the fall that occurred in the final minutes of the Warm Up of the Spanish Grand Prix, the fourth round of the 2014 world championship.

The fall (a high-side) occurred while the driver was returning to the pits. Petrucci was "shot" into the air and then rolled into the gravel, ending his weekend there.

The rider from Terni will be forced to miss both the race scheduled today at 14pm and the test scheduled tomorrow. We remind you that Iodaracing fields only one rider in the Top Class (namely Petrucci), while he races in Moto00 with Randy Krummenacher.

The rider is currently in the Mobile Clinic for further checks and will undergo an MRI this week to rule out ligament problems. The pilot declared hotly: “I was returning to the pits when I was thrown off the bike. I honestly don't know what happened. I beat the head but landed with my left hand down and that's why I think I broke my wrist. I'm very sorry, it's my second crash of the season. Now it will be important to recover quickly.”
