Not exactly a brilliant start for Andrea Dovizioso in Jerez, the second stage of the 2011 world championship. The rider from Forlì of the Repsol Honda Team had done quite well in the first free practice and instead in the afternoon he encountered difficulties that relegated him to twelfth position. Like most riders he was unable to improve on the time he set in the morning. The word is up to him.

“It was a difficult day. This morning I crashed on the last lap because I lost the front, without any warning at turn 11. The accident itself didn't compromise my performance but then the wind in the afternoon made things worse. I think in the second practice I suffered because of these things combined and as a result I lost the feeling with the front. I wasn't able to ride as well as I can and it's not a good feeling, but there's no point in complaining, we have to keep working. I hope that tomorrow there will be less wind, so that we can concentrate on the set up of my RC212V.”
