Valentino Rossi's winter will be an atypical winter; in fact, the rider from Pesaro was used to "forays" with motocross bikes, rally cars and various events. This year, however, due to the operation he suffered on his injured shoulder in April while training by doing motocross, the only thing he can use is the joystick of his Playstation to play "Gran Turismo". Here are his words.

“It's a difficult winter, my shoulders hurt a lot, but it's normal. It takes time for operated tendons to heal. I'm suffering a bit, the other drivers will train by doing rallies, motocross... for me, however, the closest thing to racing is playing Gran Turismo with the PlayStation!”

Rossi should still be fit for the first test of the 2011 season which will be held in early February on the Sepang track. There he will find the Ducati modified according to his instructions and then we could really start to see the potential of the all-Italian combination.
