MotoGP Indianapolis, Free Practice: Alvaro Bautista “We can improve”

Alvaro Bautista finished the first day in Indianapolis, scene of the tenth stage of the 2013 world championship, in seventh position. The Spanish rider from Team Gresini tried both the hard and soft tyre, choosing the latter as the former did not give him any feeling . There remains a grip problem at the front, which he will work on tomorrow with the team. The word is up to him.

“Today was the first day on the bike after the summer break and it was certainly important first of all to find good sensations on the track and above all the feeling with the bike we had in Laguna. This morning the track wasn't perfect but in the afternoon the conditions improved and we also had the chance to try the hard tire on the rear which I didn't like anyway. In fact, we went back to working with the soft tire with which I feel better even if I still don't have perfect grip and I can't open the throttle when exiting corners as I would like. However, we are confident that we can improve tomorrow and also manage to have a better feeling on the front which puts me in a bit of difficulty when entering the corners.”
