An undoubtedly appreciable comeback race. Alex De Angelis managed, despite the adversity, to bring home a good 10th place in Indianapolis. A result not up to the ambitions of the San Marino driver, but considering how things went in Indy it's not that bad...
“We certainly expected a better result in wet track conditions, but unfortunately it took me several laps to find the right rhythm at the start: in any case, that's fine”, assures Alex De Angelis. “It's just a shame that the weather conditions drastically worsened and the race was interrupted, because I could have fought to improve my placing, given that I had closed in on the riders ahead of me. In any case, regarding the interruption of the race, I agree with the decision taken by the Race Direction because at that moment it was really difficult and dangerous to drive"
