Honda and Repsol will be together again in 2011 and 2012. The world's leading motorcycle manufacturer and the Spanish oil giant announced this in a joint press release. Furthermore, HRC has confirmed that next year the team will be made up of three riders, namely Casey Stoner, Dani Pedrosa and our Andrea Dovizioso (all with Repsol colours), recalling the 1995 season when Mick Doohan, Alex Criville and Shinichi Ito. Here are the words of those directly involved.

Tetsuo Suzuki – HRC President
“We are pleased to announce that our main sponsor will once again be Repsol who will be together with us to battle in the MotoGP class in the chase for the title. The partnership with Repsol has been long and successful and we are very proud to be together again for this challenge. We are also very pleased to expand the Repsol Honda Team to include three riders. Our current riders Dani Pedrosa and Andrea Dovizioso will be joined by Casey Stoner and they will all race in the Repsol colors and will form a formidable line-up which we believe can fight for victory in every race and achieve our common goals of regaining all three championship titles.”

Begoña Elices – Repsol Corporate Director of Communications and Head of the President's Office

“Repsol is extremely pleased to be able to extend the relationship with HRC for another two seasons, which will reach 18 years and during which we have achieved ninety victories in the premier class. The combination of a reference manufacturer like Honda and three riders like Dani, Andrea and Casey guarantee us permanent hope for the entire championship and the top places in the standings. Competing in the premier class is intrinsic to Repsol, it is part of the corporate philosophy and the strategy of our company. Competing at the Top gives us the opportunity to be a leader in the research and development of new fuels and lubricants, and allows us to maintain a much closer relationship with our customers.”
