MotoGP: Catalunya Grand Prix Racing Numbers

78 – Jorge Lorenzo has won the last three MotoGP races, leading them from start to finish for a total of 78 laps in the lead. It had only happened once before in MotoGP, when in 2007 Casey Stoner led three consecutive races at Laguna Seca, Brno and Misano. Stoner also led for six laps in the following race at Estoril, bringing the number of laps led to 88. If Lorenzo manages to maintain the lead for the first 11 laps of the Catalunya GP, he will set a new MotoGP record.

46 - Danny Kent He has a forty-six point lead in the world championship standings, the largest margin had by a rider in the cadet class since Haruchika Aoki led the world championship with 1995 points over Stefano Perugini in 52.

24 – Pol Espargaro will celebrate his 24th birthday on the Wednesday before the Catalunya Grand Prix.

6 – Valentino Rossi finished on the podium in all of the first six races of the year. The last time it happened to him was in 2005, when he went on the podium in the first eleven races of the season.

0,127s – At the end of the Moto3 race at Mugello the top three riders were separated by just 0.127s. It is the fourth time this year that the top three are within less than half a second.

5 – Andrea Iannone qualified on pole for the first time at Mugello and became the fifth rider to do so aboard the Ducati. The others are Casey Stoner, Loris Capirossi, Andrea Dovizioso and Sete Gibernau.

3 – Jorge Lorenzo has won the last three MotoGP races. It's the fifth time in his career that this has happened. Four times in MotoGP and once in the 250cc class. In Barcelona he will try to dispel the taboo of four consecutive victories.

1 – At Mugello Miguel Oliveira became the first Portuguese driver to win a race in the world of Grand Prix. This record adds to those already held by him, the first Portuguese rider to finish a race on the podium (Catalunya in 2012) and the first Portuguese rider to start a GP race from pole (Dutch TT 2013)

1 – After the setbacks in Mugello of Franco Morbidelli, Tom Luthi and Hafizh Syahrin, there is only one rider left in Moto2 who has always scored in the points, it is the Frenchman Johann Zarco.

0 – In the last two races no Honda rider has finished on the MotoGP podium. The last time it happened was at the Catalan Grand Prix and the Dutch TT in 2009.
