GP Valencia Monster Yamaha MotoGP 2022 – Franco Morbidelli ended the first day of free practice at the Valencia Grand Prix, the last stage of the 2022 MotoGP, with the 16th fastest time.

In the first free practice session, the Yamaha rider concentrated on setting up the bike for the race, finishing in 13th place. The afternoon session began with a crash which fortunately had no consequences, but which took away a lot of confidence. The Italian-Brazilian driver finished 8 tenths behind the top.

Statements Franco Morbidelli Day 1 GP Valencia MotoGP 2022

“It was a difficult day. We started the day well, but then we wanted to improve the package and instead the feeling and speed worsened. I had an abnormal stop at the start of FP2 and the program changed slightly afterwards. We did the time attack with a medium front and a few more laps with the rear tyre. I did a slightly longer time attack. Today we did not bring out our true potential. I think the Sepang feeling is still there. We'll try again tomorrow."
