MotoGP Valencia Aprilia – Aleix Espargarò closed the first day of testing for the Valencia Grand Prix, the last stage of the 2023 MotoGP, with the tenth fastest time.

After finishing the day with the tenth fastest time, the Spanish rider reveals his disappointment and admits that he didn't expect to suffer so intensely. Espargarò attributes the difficulties to the layout of the track, full of left-hand bends that put his body to the test. The crash in the morning was caused by this challenge, with the rider trying to compensate for the lack of strength on the left. Currently, participation in the race is viewed with uncertainty, but Espargarò aims to focus on having fun in qualifying and evaluate the possibilities with the help of the Clinica Mobile.

Aleix Espargarò Statements Day 1 GP Valencia MotoGP 2023

“Honestly I'm a little sad, because I didn't expect to suffer so much. For a couple of laps I manage to resist, then the pain becomes too strong. This track is not the most suitable, as there are many left turns where I struggle more. This morning's crash was also due to this, the body tries to compensate for the lack of strength on the left and I used the brakes too much to make the bike turn. At the moment, I see it as difficult to compete in the race. I'll try to have fun in qualifying and then we'll see, the Clinica Mobile did an incredible job and we have some ideas for tomorrow but I don't know if it will be enough."
