MotoGP Gp Buriram Free Practice 2 – The second free practice session of the MotoGP class in Buriram (stage of the Thai Grand Prix, fifteenth stage of the 2018 MotoGP world championship) saw the riders take to the track under a scorching sun, a temperature of over 30° in the air and as many as 55 ° on asphalt and with a very high humidity level.

After FP1, which surprisingly saw the Yamahas of Vinales and Rossi in the lead, in FP2 the best time was achieved by Andrea Dovizioso's Ducati, which stopped the clock at a time of 1:31.090.

The rider from Forlì preceded the Yamaha of Maverick Vinales (who confirmed himself among the fastest), trailing by just 31 thousandths, and the Hondas of Cal Crutchlow and Marc Marquez.

Danilo Petrucci (who had a technical problem at the start of the session, ed.) is fifth, ahead of his Suzuki compatriot Andrea Iannone and Alvaro Bautista's Ducati.

Closing out the Top Ten are Dani Pedrosa with Honda, Valentino Rossi with Yamaha and Johann Zarco with the Yamaha SAT of Team Tech 3.

The session was characterized by a very bad high-side crash involving Jorge Lorenzo, with the Ducati rider being thrown into the air at over 150 km/h and then landing heavily on his right foot, already injured in Aragon.

Great fear for the Majorcan, taken away on a stretcher and who appears (the conditional is a must, ed.) to have also suffered problems with a wrist (he is undergoing X-rays and ultrasounds on his right foot and left wrist).

From the various replays it seems that the high-side was caused by the GP18 shutting down, but at the moment there is no confirmation, even if the audio does not seem to leave much doubt.

UPDATE JORGE LORENZO
