MotoGP | United States GP Qualifying: Morbidelli, “Good setup from a race perspective”
The reigning Moto2 class champion will start from the sixth row
MotoGP United States GP Marc VdS Qualifying – Franco Morbidelli will start from the sixth row of the MotoGP class Americas Grand Prix, the third round of the 2018 MotoGP world championship.
The reigning Moto2 class champion is confident for the race, as the setup of his RC213V has improved lap after lap.
His performance in FP4 was excellent from a race perspective, where he achieved the twelfth fastest time. He has the microphone.
“In terms of race pace we have improved the set-up and I think we will have a good direction for the race, so I'm happy with this: we have made a good step to improve the rear grip and to try to understand the best tire choice for the race – said Franco Morbidelli – I think I could use the soft tire on the rear, but we'll see after the warm up.”
