MotoGP United States GP Yamaha Tech3 Race – Subpar race for Johann Zarco who finished the American GP in sixth position.

The French rider, after starting from the front row, progressively lost positions, fighting first with Cal Crutchlow and then with Andrea Dovizioso.

These are the words of Johann Zarco: “It was a difficult weekend. After a good qualifying, I didn't start well. Before the race I was crossing my fingers for the podium, but I think the others did a better job. I knew where my weaknesses were, but I tried to keep up, but it was tough. This doesn't mean I struggled with the tyres, because the pace from start to finish was quite constant, it just wasn't fast enough. When Dovizioso overtook me a few laps to go, I couldn't keep up with him. I expected to fight with him, but my weaknesses were greater than his."

On the other side of the garage Hafizh Syahrin closed the Americas GP on the gravel, obtaining the first zero in the world rankings.

“I felt very strong at the start of the race, but maybe I was pushing a little.” Said Hafizh Syahrin, who then added: “I had a good feeling and had really good pace, but honestly, I'm a bit disappointed. This morning we had a bad crash and I didn't try a different set up, so we had to go back to the free practice settings and the bike was quite soft. Anyway, I was one of the strongest rookies on this difficult track, but I leave the track a little defeated losing the points. I lost the front, perhaps because I was trying to keep up with a Ducati, which is very fast on the straight, so I tried to pass it when braking. I'm sure I'll do well in the next race."
