MotoGP | GP Silverstone Qualifying: Crutchlow, “Disappointed with the result”
“I wanted to get the front row or pole position,” he added
Heavy rain alternating with moments of calm disrupted the normal Qualifying procedures on the Silverstone circuit, in particular after the red flag was waved during FP4 due to a large amount of water stagnating at Turn 7. After a series of delays, Q2 took place on a partially wet circuit, where LCR Honda CASTROL rider Cal Crutchlow recorded the 4th fastest time. Tomorrow's race, due to particularly adverse weather conditions expected for the afternoon, has been brought forward to 11.30 local time.
Here are the words of Cal Crutchlow: “I'm obviously disappointed, I wanted to get the front row or pole position; in any case, I did the best I could. Now we focus on the race, even if the weather won't be favorable: it looks like it will rain intensely, to the point of making driving really difficult. The Safety Commission decided to bring forward the race to avoid a strong disturbance, I think it is a wise decision. However, I hope it will be an exciting GP, I would like to give a good show to my English fans!"
