MotoGP GP Silverstone KTM Factory – Points finish for Pol Espargarò in the last British Grand Prix, the twelfth round of this 2019 MotoGP world championship. The Spaniard from the KTM team managed to conduct a careful race, free of errors and mistakes. A majestic performance that gave him important points for the drivers' world championship ranking. Different story however for Johann Zarco, given that the Frenchman did not see the checkered flag due to a clash with Miguel Oliveira.

“It was a difficult race and the high temperatures made the track very slippery, more than we expected,” said Pol Espargarò. “We fought constantly with the rear tyre. In any case, we fought with the group for sixth position and we must be happy about this, given that we managed to bring home important points for the championship. The bike is getting better and better and I am satisfied with our work to compete with Honda and Ducati. Misano won't be an easy track for us, but I've always been fast there in the past. We have a test in a couple of days and we'll see what to do for next weekend."

Here are Johann Zarco's assessments: “The crash was a real shame, given that the race was quite interesting. I had the situation under control and wanted to overtake Miguel in a slow corner, but unfortunately we hit it. I didn't do anything different, but I apologized to him anyway. The pace wasn't bad all weekend and I hope to have the same sensations next weekend in Misano."
