MotoGP British GP Free Practice 4 – Maverick Vinales was the fastest in the last free practice session at the Silverstone circuit, the twelfth stage of the 2018 world championship.

Behind the Spaniard: Jorge Lorenzo, Marc Marquez and Jack Miller.

Fifth time for Andrea Dovizioso, followed by Cal Crutchlow and Alex Rins and Andrea Iannone. Johann Zarco and Franco Morbidelli complete the top ten. Valentino Rossi finished in 13th position.

All times were taken just before the arrival of a sudden storm. The large amount of water accumulated on turn six caused as many as six motorbikes to fall. Alex Rins was the first to slip, fortunately without consequences. The Spaniard was followed shortly afterwards in the gravel by Scott Redding, Thomas Luthi, Franco Morbidelli and Tito Rabat. The Spaniard from the Avintia Racing team was then hit by the Italian-Brazilian rider's motorbike.

Rabat remained on the ground in pain, he never lost consciousness, but the impact was strong.

The session after the accident was stopped. Further updates coming soon.

UPDATE: Rabat appears to have suffered a broken leg.

UPDATE 2:Tito Rabat's condition seems more serious than expected. In addition to the fracture of the tibia and fibula there would also be an open fracture of the femur.

My most sincere wishes for a speedy recovery to "Titone" Rabat, in the hope of seeing him again soon on the Ducatone with which he also achieved excellent performances considering the version he was riding.

    Good luck Tito

    Great Dovizioso
    Great Lorenzo
    Great Ducati
