Ducati Sky VR46 Avintia GP Silverstone MotoGP 2021 – Luca Marini closed the first day of free practice at the Silverstone Grand Prix with the 17th fastest time.

Twentieth in FP1, the Sky VR46 Avintia driver reduced the gap to the fastest in the afternoon session by setting a good 2'01.058, a time that means a gap of just over seven tenths from direct access to Q2 tomorrow.

“In general, a Friday with very cold temperatures and particular and complicated track conditions. With this cold, I had very little grip in FP1, there are many potholes and I struggled. Better in Fp2, I started with M and felt good. It's a shame about the two time attacks because I found a lot of traffic and wasn't able to exploit all the potential at our disposal. The sensations are good and the top ten are not far away. We still have a little bit to fix and gain direct access to Q2 in Fp3.”
