MotoGP | GP Silverstone Day 1: Lorenzo, “We are on the right track to fight for the top positions”
Lorenzo added: "I'm quite happy with the work we did today"
MotoGP British GP Ducati Day 1 – Jorge Lorenzo ended the first day of free practice for the British Grand Prix in fifth position.
The Majorcan centaur, winner two weeks ago in Austria, completed 27 laps, 13 in FP1 and 14 in FP2, finishing with a personal best lap of 2'01.782.
At the moment the feeling with his Ducati Desmosedici GP18 is not yet 100%, but tomorrow, weather permitting, he will try to get back to the top. The word is up to him.
“I'm quite happy with the work we did today, because in the afternoon we managed to improve the bike compared to this morning. In the second session I felt much better and we solved some set-up problems, and if we continue like this I believe that tomorrow we can further lower our times and fight for the top positions – said Jorge Lorenzo – The track, despite having been resurfaced , it has more potholes than before and the grip has not improved, and for this reason today we were unable to lap with better times.”
