First day of textbook testing for the LCR Honda Team rider, Idemitsu Taka Nakagami, who placed his RC2123V in seventh place on the Sachsenring track. The Japanese is the second fastest Honda rider after Marquez in Friday's provisional ranking and gives excellent indications ahead of tomorrow afternoon's qualifying.
Here are Nakagami's words: “I'm super happy with the result and the work we all did together. From FP1 to FP2 we made some radical changes to the bike and they worked very well. I know it's only the first day but the first two sessions are still important for the starting position. The goal is to remain in the top ten tomorrow too and maybe even finish in Q2."
