MotoGP | Qatar GP Qualifying: Petrucci, “FP4 makes me optimistic”

MotoGP Gp Qatar Ducati Qualifying – Danilo Petrucci will start from the third row in the Qatar Grand Prix, the first stage of the 2019 MotoGP, scheduled for tomorrow when it will be 18pm in Italy.

The driver from Terni, in his first year as an official driver, is not satisfied with his placing, but the pace obtained in FP4 makes him confident from a race perspective. At the end of the session, "Petrux" was quite irritated by the behavior of Marc Marquez, who followed him in Q2 to be able to take advantage of his slipstream. The word is up to him.

“Looking on the positive side, in FP4 we were very fast and this makes me optimistic. The sensations on the bike were really good, so much so that I achieved my best time at the end of the session. Our goal, however, was to qualify in the first two rows and unfortunately we missed it, even if by just a little – said Danilo Petrucci – I wasn't able to do a lap as I would have liked, and this complicates our plans a bit but it will represent an extra motivation for the race. It will be essential to start well but I'm confident, given our pace. There are many competitive opponents, tire management will make the difference and we will have to be very good from this point of view too.”
