MotoGP Gp Qatar Marc VDS QP – Franco Morbidelli faced his first qualifying session aboard a MotoGP today in Qatar. The Italian rider, 2017 Moto2 world champion, will start from the fifth row having set the fourteenth time with a time of 1.55.169. He has the microphone.

“My first qualifying session in MotoGP was a good feeling, it was a nice adrenaline rush. I replicated the performance from the tests, so I'm happy with this, even if I'm still struggling a bit with the acceleration out of the corners, but I'm sure the team will be able to find some solutions with the set-up. Talking about my race pace, I feel like I can fight for the points zone, it would be a good result for my first race in MotoGP.”
