MotoGP | GP Qatar Qualifying: Aleix Espargarò, “The feeling is ok”

Aprilia Gresini MotoGP 2021 GP Qatar – Good placement inside the top 10 for Aleix Espargarò in qualifying for the Qatar Grand Prix, the inaugural event of the 2021 MotoGP world championship. After the excellent feedback from free practice, the Aprilia Spaniard managed to make the most of the potential of the 2021 RS-GP, earning an important place for this evening's race. Luca Savadori is more in difficulty, still not in 100% physical shape and far from the best feeling with the 2021 RS-GP.

“I confirm what was said yesterday regarding the feeling with the bike. I'm enjoying riding the new RS-GP and I believe in its potential. Maybe we still have some limits in qualifying, I did some very good laps without mistakes but it wasn't enough to grab the second row. The strategies for the race will be fundamental, today we saw some incredible times but tomorrow in the final laps the pace will pick up a lot. We'll see how this translates for us, we've done some long runs but the true potential of this bike is still an unknown."

“Thanks above all to the good condition of the shoulder, we are trying to work on the bike to make up for the time lost during the winter tests, in which I couldn't do more than 2-3 consecutive laps. We are still missing something, although in qualifying without a small mistake I could have improved the time. We'll see tomorrow, some of the rivals don't seem that far away in terms of pace but I'm curious to see how the RS-GP will behave."
