MotoGP | Qatar GP: Dovizioso, “Qualifying not perfect”

MotoGP Gp Qatar Ducati Qualifying – Andrea Dovizioso was one of the favorites in the fight for pole at the Qatar Grand Prix, but in the end “DesmoDovi” had to “settle” for the second row, fifth fastest time.

However, the Ducati rider has great race pace and remains one of the riders to beat in the race which is scheduled for tomorrow at 17pm Italian time. On the fastest lap he made a few too many mistakes, the microphone goes to him.

“Qualifying wasn't perfect. When I mounted the second tire I found many riders on the track slowing down and I wasn't able to prepare in the best way. I made a mistake in turn 1, then others followed, I could have done better, but the first two rows were a good result.”

What do you expect for the race?

“I honestly don't know what to expect from the opponents, it's not clear who has the best pace”

On the tire side they seem to be in very good shape, what can you say about that?

“We are in very good shape, but I don't know how the others are in it. It is not easy to understand the pace of the opponents, but the strategy will be decided during the race. This Qatar race is a long one, there will be many of us, at least at the beginning.”
