"We suffered on the straight," said the Spaniard
MotoGP GP Qatar 2 Aprilia Gresini Race – Top 10 placement for Aleix Espargarò in the Doha Grand Prix, second round of the 2021 MotoGP world championship. The Spaniard from the Aprilia Gresini team, after a good start and a good fight with the Ducati Pramacs of Johann Zarco and Jorge Martin, was unable to keep up with his rivals on the race pace, an aspect which made him slip behind not only of the same, but also of Suzuki and Yamaha. “I can't be happy with the position because I think we deserved better. The new RS-GP works well, the acceleration is spectacular, I can push when braking, the only thing that made us suffer today was the straight. When I found myself behind the Ducatis, I had more grip than them but I wasn't able to overtake them. A shame but, from what I saw in these two races, when we arrive on the European circuits I'm sure we can have fun."
