MotoGP GP Portugal Ducati VR46 Racing Team – Fabio di Giannantonio closed the first day of free practice for the Portuguese Grand Prix, second stage of the 2024 MotoGP, with the 12th time.

Excluded from the ten by just 75 thousandths after a session that was always among the fastest was Fabio, who will be forced to take to the track for Q1 tomorrow (10.50 am local ed.). He finished with a best lap of 1'38.635.

“I didn't expect this start, I certainly struggled more than expected. In corner entry, one of my strong points, I struggled today. I have no grip at the back, the bike doesn't seem to follow me and slides a lot. I don't know exactly what the problem is, we need to analyze the data and find a good compromise for tomorrow's race. Considering I've always had a lot of rear grip, for me it's a new type of sensation to manage.”
