MotoGP GP Portugal Ducati VR46 Racing Team – Marco Bezzecchi closed the first day of free practice for the Portuguese Grand Prix, second stage of the 2024 MotoGP, with the sixth fastest time.

Immediately at ease on the Portuguese track and satisfied with the steps forward aboard the Ducati Desmosedici GP, Marco signed an excellent 1'38.409 in the final session, a time that was worth a gap of just three tenths from the leaders (Bastianini, 1'38.057 ed.).

“A positive start, already this morning, was needed for the whole team! We achieved this in the afternoon, there's still a lot to do, but I'm happy. I'm starting to see the fruit of the driving changes and I have more confidence thanks to the setting changes. I'm not perfect yet, but now the bike is more manageable, especially when entering corners. Let's stay focused, a good fight awaits us tomorrow.”
