MotoGP Portuguese GP Portimao Honda Repsol Qualifying – Alex Marquez closed the first day of free practice at the Portuguese Grand Prix, the last stage of the 2020 MotoGP, with the 18th time.

The Honda Repsol team rider seemed to be in difficulty on the twisty Portuguese track. He finished the first round in 15th position, over a second from the top, while in the afternoon, despite a considerable improvement, he finished 18th.

“It was a difficult Qualifying, I tried to gain some momentum to improve but I wasn't able to find it. On the last lap I really tried, but I found a bit of traffic, sometimes it's just like that. Free Practice 4 went well and we found more of a direction for the tires to follow for the race, but we need to do some work in the Warm Up to be safe. The goal is to enjoy the race and recover as many positions as possible."
