Dutch GP Monster Yamaha MotoGP 2022 – Fabio Quartararo was the protagonist, despite himself, of the Dutch Grand Prix, the eleventh stage of the 2022 MotoGP. The French rider, in fact, during the first laps, while fighting for the podium, was the victim of a crash which also damaged Aleix Espargarò's race.

“El Diablo” called his “a rookie mistake” (here are the post-race statements) and also apologized to the Spanish driver after the race. However, the apologies were not enough and the stewards decided to punish him with a long lap penalty which he will have to serve during the Silverstone Grand Prix, the next stage of the 2022 MotoGP championship scheduled after the summer break. A somewhat questionable decision. So far this season, every time a rider has hit a rider without making him fall but only sending him into the gravel he has not been sanctioned.
