MotoGP | Gp Mugello Race: Lorenzo dominates, Dovizioso and Rossi on the podium
First victory with Ducati for the Majorcan, Marquez on the ground
MotoGP Italian GP Race – An amazing Jorge Lorenzo, once again "Martillo", wins the Italian Grand Prix in the MotoGP class held at Mugello, his first triumph with Ducati.
The Majorcan, who from this race had a new tank that was supposed to help him manage the entire race, immediately took the lead in operations, without ever leaving the top of the standings.
Behind the #99 was team-mate Andrea Dovizioso, more than six seconds behind and behind the Forlì driver a wonderful fight for the podium was "unleashed" which saw the Italian colors as protagonists.
In the end it was Valentino Rossi who climbed onto the third step of the podium, who after winning pole, beat his Suzuki compatriot Andrea Iannone and Alex Rins, with the latter in turn crossing the finish line ahead of Alex Rins, Cal Crutchlow and Danilo Petrucci.
The rider from Terni, on the track with the yellow-black Ducati (livery dedicated to Lamborghini), was touched by Marc Marquez at the start of the race at the Luco-Poggiosecco curve and after a good comeback he perhaps paid for the wear of the tires for the comeback.
Marquez instead crashed during the fourth lap at the runner, when he was second. In the end he crossed the finish line in sixteenth position outside the points zone.
For Lorenzo, this is the 24th victory in MotoGP (the last was Valencia 2016) with the race conducted from the first corner to the finish line. Now the world championship standings still see Marquez in the lead, but in second place is Valentino Rossi who follows him by 23 points. Vinales and Andrea Dovizioso follow, the latter trailing Marquez by 29 points.

Nice race, congratulations to Lorenzo, and excellent podium for Dovi and Rossi….
It burns you, huh? Ahahahahaha…
Congratulations Ducati-Lorenzo. Dovi in trouble. Rossi, as usual, put a patch on the not particularly competitive Yamaha.
Marquez? The usual …. he always wants to do too much and this time he paid for it... luckily he didn't knock Petrucci out...
Today was Lorenzo's day, with the soft compounds he has always been the fastest. Marquez wanted too much, he was perhaps the only one capable of resisting together with Dovizioso, but only for a few laps. Dovizioso had to push hard to try to close the hole, but like Petrucci he took out the tyres. Petrucci certainly could have done better if he hadn't been sent off the track at the start of the race. Tires are a limit, Michelin tires do not guarantee constant performance, if they are allowed to warm up they degrade rapidly, you have to manage and ride at the limit of the tire rather than the motorbike. Lorenzo was the best as on other occasions with this type of tire and as happened in Yamaha he was able to make the difference.
…Jorge has already done better than the geriatrician…tavulliaboys canaries? Prrrrrrrrr

fatmann looks at the general classification where Valentino is, and without the Argentina episode he would be only 13 points behind Marquez. Furthermore, the Movistar Yamaha MotoGP team, despite not having won a race in many races, is first in the standings, a sign that Rossi and Vinales are making a big difference...
... without the crime Marc would have won, by 13 points ... moreover he will win them all until the end of his days, too superior to everyone else.
better read Marc and Dovizioso's statements, Marquez couldn't win today, not with these tyres, Lorenzo was the favorite as he always has been with this type of compound, perhaps Zarco could do well with that compound if he had a Yamaha which doesn't wear out the tires that much.
The fan arrived at random….magnamrda go and support the gay guy in the gravel.
…today I support Jorge who beats the Canaro at home and makes you eat yet another plate of c…a
