MotoGP GP Mugello – After almost a month's stop, MotoGP returns to the track for the most awaited stage of the year, the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello.

The Grand Prix in the Tuscan hills arrives at a particular moment of the season. Francesco Bagnaia is the leader of the world championship but in France he made a misstep which forces him once again to give his all in order not to lose the lead in the world championship. Enea Bastianini should also return to the Tuscan track, probably not in top shape over the race distance, given her long absence, but probably fast on the lap. At Le Mans Marco Bezzecchi, at this point, has demonstrated that he is a serious contender for the title and will certainly be among the protagonists at Mugello together with Luca Marini and the two Pramac standard bearers, Johann Zarco and Jorge Martin.

The Italian GP could therefore be a parade of Reds if it weren't for the fact that the track layout could actually be very favorable to KTM, both with Binder and Miller, but also for the GASGAS team, orphaned by Pol Espargarò, but with a Fernandez in great growth. Not to be underestimated is Aprilia, which with Maverick Vinales and Aleix Espargarò is looking for its first success of the season and winning it in front of the home crowd would be the best.

The great unknown remains Marc Marquez, in France before the crash he was very fast, the physical problems now seem to be overcome, the only thing left to do is fix the bike. Even the Yamahas amaze exactly as they disappoint. Quartararo got on the podium last year, but this year, like Morbidelli, it will be a real feat.

Mugello GP weather

The weather could also be a factor in shuffling the cards: rain is forecast for the entire weekend.

Info Mugello GP

The Italian circuit measures 5,2 km and has 6 left and 9 right corners. The main straight measures 1142 m, one of the longest of the season; here in 2018 Andrea Dovizioso recorded the record speed of 356,5 km/h. The Mugello Grand Prix has now become an unmissable stage of the MotoGP, and one of the most loved tracks by riders and spectators. It entered the calendar in 1976 alternating with Imola and Monza, and in 1991 it became the permanent home of the Italian Grand Prix.
The undisputed king of the Mugello circuit is Valentino Rossi. Here the 9-time world champion has triumphed 7 times. Behind the Italian, Jorge Lorenzo with 6 victories. Last year the winner was Francesco Bagnaia.
