MotoGP | GP Misano Race: Enea Bastianini, “It's special to get the first podium close to home”

Ducati Esponsorama Avintia GP Misano MotoGP 2021 – Enea Bastianini closed the Misano Grand Prix, fourteenth stage of the 2021 MotoGP, in third position.

The Rimini rider started from twelfth place and was the author of an incredible comeback, which first led him to fight with the central group and with Marquez and then to help Miller to take the podium, the first of his career in MotoGP.

“Today the Beast was both within and without. We worked hard this weekend to get the best out of it. The podium wasn't planned but I wanted it at all costs. Halfway through the race I was running fast, I passed Miller, but Pecco and Fabio were too fast. Unfortunately with the wet FP2 we lost a session and we had to work hard in FP3 and 4, today I gave everything and it was worth it. I have to thank my family, who has always done so much for me. It's a unique emotion to get the first podium here close to home, I couldn't have hoped for better.”
