MotoGP Gp Misano Free Practice 3 – The third free practice session of the MotoGP class in Misano (where the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix is scheduled for tomorrow, the thirteenth round of the 2018 MotoGP World Championship), saw the riders take to the track first with rain tyres, given the rain fell during the night and then with about twenty minutes to go on the slicks, seeing as the sun had dried the line.

The times became interesting lap after lap as the ideal line was “cleaned up” and the fastest of this session was the Frenchman Johann Zarco (1:32.788), who together with Jack Miller took out our Andrea Iannone and Franco Morbidelli, who will therefore be forced to compete in Q1.

The session therefore saw Zarco ahead of Miller, Dovizioso, Marquez, Crutchlow, Rins, Morbidelli, Pedrosa, Syahrin and Vinales. Rossi, on the track with the new “Back To Misano” helmet (click here for photos and to find out more) finished twentieth, in a session where he had nothing to ask for.

The ten riders who directly access the final qualifying phase are: Andrea Dovizioso, Jorge Lorenzo, Cal Crutchlow, Maverick Vinales, Marc Marquez, Danilo Petrucci, Alex Rins, Valentino Rossi, Johann Zarco and Jack Miller.

All the others, including Dani Pedrosa, Michele Pirro, Alvaro Bautista, Andrea Iannone and Franco Morbidelli will have to go through the Q1 "trap", where the top two classified will enter Q2.
