MotoGP GP Le Mans 2022 Press Conference – Seventh event of the season, it takes place in France, on the Le Mans circuit. This afternoon, in the usual Thursday press conference, the following were present: Fabio Quartararo, Aleix Espargarò, Pecco Bagnaia, Johann Zarco and Marc Marquez.

Statements Fabio Quartararo, Le Mans GP Press Conference

“It was a great experience going to the stadium with the PSG players. It's special to experience your home GP, I want to try to take it as a normal race and enjoy the fans. It's difficult to say who can prevail for the podium, the important thing is to work well, secure Q2 and find good tyres."

Statements Aleix Espargarò, Le Mans GP Press Conference

“The first part of the season was great, we are only seven points behind Fabio. It's difficult to predict how the bike will work here but so far it has been competitive on every track and I will try to work hard starting from FP1 to prepare the bike in the best possible way and then we will see how it goes on Sunday. Lorenzo Savadori has tried several new things in the last few races and we tried some of them in the tests, I will try the carbon clutch and it represents a good change because it is very light"

Pecco Bagnaia Statements, Le Mans GP Press Conference

“It would be nice to repeat last year's trend after the first victory but this year is different. It looks like the weekend will be dry but it could start raining on Sunday, I like the track. I'm sure Yamaha will be competitive, as will Zarco and Miller. This year we will have to understand everything and it is difficult to make predictions, I will be able to tell after the first sessions"

Statements Johann Zarco, Le Mans GP Press Conference

“I hope I can make the most of the bike here, after the Jerez race I was disappointed but the test was excellent for trying something else. I hope I can continue on this path here in Le Mans, I have the energy of the fans who were already here yesterday to support me. We will see how the weather will be, it could be dry but it could change and we will adapt, I think everyone is ready and strong to fight. As well as Miller who appreciates this track. I think getting two podiums was great, a sign of the good speed we have, clearly the crashes in Argentina and Spain didn't help me to be in a good position for the championship, I hope I can fight for the victory soon."

Statements Marc Marquez, Le Mans GP Press Conference

“In Jerez we made a little progress in terms of performance. I tested half a day on Monday and we found things that didn't work badly but we expected more from some. We'll see if we can be close here, I don't think for the victory but the important thing is to improve. I don't know what I can achieve on Sunday, we don't have a clear objective, we try to understand on Friday how the bike works, on Saturday we try to increase the speed and on Sunday we give everything. It's the same strategy I used for other races."
