MotoGP Gp Le Mans Aprilia Racing – Maverick Vinales was the victim of an accident with Bagnaia during the French Grand Prix, fifth stage of the 2023 MotoGP, in ninth position.

The French race saw Maverick Viñales crash after a contact with Bagnaia, while overtaking the Ducati rider, but having had time, in almost four laps, to demonstrate how fast he was today and put himself forward for the final victory. At that moment Maverick was moving back towards the lead of the race after a good start from the second row, showing off speed and riding precision, completely supported by an RS-GP in great shape.

Declaration by Maverick Vinales French GP 2023 MotoGP race

“I'm angry, not so much for what happened but for the missed opportunity. Today I felt really strong, I'm sure I would have fought for the victory. It was one of those races where, as a driver, you feel you have something more. Bagnaia and I are two correct riders, it was a truly unfortunate contact and the adrenaline of the moment warmed us up, but what is clear is that we riders must all calm down and be an example for the young people. There remains regret but no controversy, it happened and we look forward, already to Mugello. We also showed that we are very fast at Le Mans and we improved many things this weekend."
