MotoGP | Gp Le Mans Race: A.Espargarò, “I wasn't able to follow the best”

MotoGP GP France Aprilia Gresini – Twelfth place finish for Aleix Espargarò in the last French Grand Prix, fifth round of this 2019 MotoGP world championship.

Despite the difficulties experienced by the Aprilia team at Le Mans, the Spaniard managed to maximize the result on Sunday, picking up important points in terms of the standings. The objective now will be to recharge the batteries after a start to the season full of ups and downs, aiming for a profoundly different weekend in front of the Mugello crowd.

“Bringing home points is always positive but I can't be satisfied,” said the Spaniard from the Aprilia team. “I wasn't able to follow the best, especially due to the lack of grip which is all the more important on a circuit with these characteristics.”

“The choice of tires was mandatory, given the low temperatures, in fact we were all in the same conditions. Now we have to work to progress, our opponents have grown and it is becoming increasingly difficult to enter the top ten." he concluded.
