MotoGP GP France Free Practice 1 – The riders of the MotoGP class faced the first free practice session of the French Grand Prix, fifth stage of the 2019 MotoGP championship and it was immediately a great battle.

In fact, the weather forecast doesn't promise good weather and getting back into the top ten from these FP1s could have been very important.

The best time went to the youngest pole-man in MotoGP, the rookie Fabio Quartararo, who after the disappointment of the technical problem he had in Jerez, immediately returned to being a great protagonist, this time in his home Grand Prix.

The Team Yamaha Petronas SRT rider stopped the clock at a time of 1:31.986, the only rider to go under one minute and 32 minutes.

Behind him were the official Ducatis of Andrea Dovizioso and Danilo Petrucci, 0.127s and 0.207s behind respectively. The “Red” from Borgo Panigale loses a lot in the last sector of the track, while it is very fast in T1, T2 and T3.

Fourth, fifth and sixth times for the Spaniards Maverick Vinales (Yamaha), Marc Marquez (Honda) and Pol Espargarò (KTM). The three precede the Australian of Team Prama Ducati Jack Miller, the Suzuki rookie Joan Mir, Johann Zarco (KTM) and Valentino Rossi (Yamaha), who closes the Top Ten.

The rider from Pesaro lost some time due to the chain breaking on his M1, but in the end he made it into the top ten.

Franco Morbidelli (Yamaha Petronas) and rookie Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Pramac) occupy twelfth and thirteenth positions while the limping Andrea Iannone is nineteenth with Aprilia.

Worth noting is the fall of Jorge Lorenzo, who finished fourteenth. The #99 Honda lost the front end of his Honda when he went over the curb, a "move" also repeated by Marc Marquez, who however managed one of his usual TV clip saves.
