MotoGP | GP Jerez Race, Quartararo: “It was a really tough race”

MotoGP GP Spain Jerez Yamaha – Fabio Quartararo finished the Jerez Grand Prix, fourth stage of the 2023 MotoGP, in 15th position.

Yamaha's Quartararo expressed his disappointment at a performance below expectations. Quartararo complained about rear grip problems and physical difficulties during the race, caused by pain in his arm due to braking too hard. Despite his efforts, he had to slow down in the last ten laps. The challenge on the track was defined as "really tough" by the driver, who hopes for improvements in subsequent tests to better deal with the technical difficulties and obtain greater speed.

“I wasn't able to make the same start as yesterday. We had a problem with rear grip and then the bike became really physically tiring to ride. I had pain in my arm because I was braking too hard and in the last ten laps I couldn't brake anymore, so I had to slow down. It was a really tough race, I would say. We are lacking a lot in terms of rear grip and steering, so we hope to be able to change the situation in tomorrow's tests. I don't expect a big step forward, but we hope to find an improvement to feel better on the bike and be faster."
