MotoGP | Gp Jerez FP4: Suzuki in the lead with Iannone and Rins, Rossi 14th
The official Yamahas are in difficulty, with Vinales and Rossi at the back
MotoGP Spanish GP Free Practice 4 – The fourth free practice session of the MotoGP class in Jerez de la Frontera, not valid for entry into Q2, saw the Suzukis of Andrea Iannone and Alex Rins excel.
The driver from Vasto stopped the clock at a time of 1:38.444, a time 0.376s better than that of his team-mate.
Suzuki then scored a one-two, followed by three Hondas, those of the reigning champion Marc Marquez (victim of a crash without consequences about 20 minutes from the end), that of his team-mate Dani Pedrosa and that of Cal Crutchlow's Team LCR.
Sixth, seventh and eighth times for the Ducatis of Andrea Dovizioso (GP18), Tito Rabat (GP17) and Danilo Petrucci (GP18). Closing out the Top Ten were Maverick Vinales and Pol Espargarò, with the latter preceding the Ducatis of Jorge Lorenzo (GP18) and Jack Miller (GP17).
Rookie Franco Morbidelli is thirteenth, immediately ahead of Valentino Rossi, who still hasn't found the right feeling with his Yamaha M1.
We remind you that Big Andrea Dovizioso and Maverick Vinales will have to pass through the Q1 "trap", which you can follow clicking here
