MotoGP GP Andalusia 2020 Honda Repsol – Marc Marquez, upon returning from his arm injury, did not take to the track on the first day of free practice at the Andalusian Grand Prix.

The Spanish rider, who only underwent surgery last Tuesday to reduce the fracture in his humerus, passed the usual medical examinations and will take to the track tomorrow during FP3. Conditions will allow it, the reigning world champion has clear ideas, he won't be on the track just to collect a few points.

Statements Marc Marquez Repsol Honda Team Jerez MotoGP 2020

“Yesterday I arrived at the circuit after the operation in Barcelona and passed the medical tests in the afternoon. It means I can ride, and after discussions with Honda we decided to start directly on Saturday. I slept quite well, obviously I feel some pain, but we had physio sessions with my physio which were quite good for me. With the team we have set ourselves only one objective, which is to see our feeling tomorrow in FP3. Let's see what the arm looks like and decide our next target from there. Thank you all for the support, these have been difficult days but with the support of HRC, the Repsol Honda Team, all the sponsors and fans who love the sport just like me, it seems easier."
