MotoGP | Italian GP Race: Miller, “After the mistake it was a comeback race”

Italian GP Mugello Ducati MotoGP 2022 – Jack Miller finished the Italian Grand Prix, eighth stage of the 2022 MotoGP, in 15th position.

Starting from the fourth row, the Australian driver was delayed after the start, ending up on the grass in an attempt to immediately recover positions. Twenty-second on the first lap, Miller tried to recover, managing to make some overtaking but struggling to find his rhythm. After today's race, Jack slips to eighth in the Championship, 18 points behind his teammate.

“Starting so far back definitely didn't help. After the start I got trapped in the group and went onto the grass at the first corner and ended up twenty-second. From there it was a comeback race. I managed to pass a few riders, despite struggling a lot to overtake, but then once I got behind Alex Marquez I was never able to get close enough to attack him. Today went like this, but fortunately we will soon have another race to try to redeem ourselves and put today's result behind us!”
