MotoGP | Japanese GP, soft or medium? The best laps with used tires compared [VIDEO]

At the end of this morning's qualifying, Paolo Lorenzi compared the performances of the riders with medium and soft tyres, underlining how Marc Marquez, despite sixth position in qualifying, is absolutely in the running for victory in the Grand Prix.

The Spaniard, in fact, expressed an excellent pace with the average during FP3, proving effective over long distances. An aspect that will need to be kept under review, especially if the Honda standard-bearer were to catch up with the top group already in the first laps of the race.

Ducati also did well with Dovizioso, the real favorite for tomorrow's race, with the latter getting quite close to the Spaniard's pace, especially with the medium tyre. It should be noted that wear will not be a big problem for tomorrow's race, given that no team has suffered a sudden collapse of the compound.
