MotoGP Gp Motegi Repsol Honda – Dani Pedrosa ended the first day of free practice for the Japanese Grand Prix, sixteenth stage of the 2018 MotoGP, in eleventh position.

The driver from Sabadell remained out of the top ten by just 4 hundredths during the first session, while in the afternoon on a wet track he managed to record the best performance, but obviously slower than the morning one.

These are the words of Dani Pedrosa:“This morning didn't go very well, the feeling with the bike wasn't very good compared to what we had in the last race. Then we made some changes but it started raining and it was very difficult to know if they worked. In the afternoon the track was neither dry nor wet and sometimes testing in these conditions is confusing. We only did a couple of laps to understand the conditions. Towards the end of the session, when the track dried out a bit, I did five or six laps to understand the sensations and it was better in the afternoon than in the morning. Now we have to confirm the data on Saturday. From morning to afternoon the sensation improved, it is difficult to judge and we have to wait until tomorrow to be sure in the dry, in order to confirm the tyres.".
