Jack Miller Statements German GP Race Sachsenring MotoGP 2022

“I'm back on the podium. It was damn hot out there. I think it was the most physically demanding race I've completed in MotoGP in almost seven years. This is not only due to the temperature, but also the layout of this track, which doesn't leave you a second to catch your breath, you work constantly. Also, I was chasing people in front of me the entire race. This didn't make my job any easier. However, it was a fun race. I had a lot of confidence and a great feeling with the bike all weekend. This allowed me to make a couple of decent overtakings today. Sometimes I slipped a bit on the brakes, even in the fight against Aleix. But I always knew exactly what the bike would do and that I could somehow still brake it in time. It's really a lot of fun when you can whiz around the slopes with so much confidence and attack the turns as you imagine. The long lap penalty was a bit scary, but it didn't cost much time. The changes to the set-up we made in Monday's tests in Barcelona are working. Now I can ride in my old style again. I have enough confidence again. Now I can't wait for the next races to arrive."
