MotoGP | Brno GP Qualifying: Rossi, "Strong on the flying lap, but we are in difficulty with the race pace" [Video]

MotoGP GP Czech Republic Movistar Yamaha Qualifying – Valentino Rossi was a great protagonist together with Andrea Dovizioso in the Brno qualifying, tenth race of the 2018 MotoGP world championship.

The Yamaha rider finished second and, like the Ducati rider (author of the pole), he obtained the personal best lap on the last lap. As usual, tires will be fundamental in tomorrow's race but nothing has been decided yet.

“Today as yesterday I was fast with the soft and fresh tyres. I knew I shouldn't make any mistakes and it turned out to be a good lap. This front row is very important because we are in difficulty in terms of race pace.”

OPPONENTS MARQUEZ DOVIZIOSO

“On paper, Marquez is the fastest, but Dovizioso is also going fast. The two of them are the favourites, we will try to stay there. The bike rides well with the new tires, but now comes the difficult part."

“Today I also tried the soft tyre, but I wasn't comfortable. There is still warm up for tomorrow and we will try to improve on the race pace.”

POLE POSITION LUCA (HIS BROTHER)

“It's very nice to see Luca in pole position, in the last few races he has improved a lot and is bringing home the fruit of his work. Tomorrow I hope he can challenge for the podium, he's certainly in better shape than me. I will suffer more watching him than doing my race, when you're on a motorbike it's different."
