MotoGP | Barcelona GP Race: Petrucci, “Podio that is as good as a victory”

MotoGP Gp Catalunya Ducati Race – Danilo Petrucci brought home a great podium in the Catalunya Grand Prix, seventh stage of the 2019 MotoGP.

The Ducati rider, winner of the first race of his career at Mugello, thus achieves his third consecutive podium and keeps the colors of the two-wheeled "Red" high.

Fortunately for him he managed to stay out of the "strike" triggered by Jorge Lorenzo, which involved the Ducati of team-mate Andrea Dovizioso and the Yamahas of Maverick Vinales and Valentino Rossi. The word is up to him.

“I'm happy, this podium is worth the victory at Mugello. I was certainly helped by the crash which involved 4 riders; I saw that Lorenzo braked hard, too hard, then I didn't see how they touched, but I saw an "explosion" – said Danilo Petrucci – At the start of the race I was in difficulty with the grip, but then things improved . I resisted on Rins but I couldn't do it with Fabio (Quartararo, ed.). In my head I had Rins as favorite and I knew he would pass me; he asked me but when I saw his motorbike moving I passed him again. In the end I had no more rubber to attack, but as mentioned this podium is like a victory considering the difficulties I had over the weekend.”
