MotoGP Catalan GP Pramac Ducati Day 1 – Francesco Bagnaia closed the first day of free practice for the Catalan Grand Prix, seventh stage of the 2019 MotoGP, with the fifth fastest time.

The reigning Moto2 World Champion had some difficulties during the first session, finishing in fifteenth position. However, things changed in the Spanish afternoon, in particular in the second part of the session he managed to improve considerably on the soft tyres.

These are the words of Francesco Bagnaia: “It was a fairly positive round. Unfortunately in the first part of the session, until I put on soft tires both front and rear I wasn't able to be fast. The bike had some problems, it had no grip and I struggled a lot. In the end with soft soft the bike became mine again and I was able to go really fast. It will be important to understand why this problem is, to have a good balance for tomorrow. This track eats up the tires a lot so it will be important to do a lot of laps tomorrow to understand better.”
