MotoGP Catalan GP Aprilia Gresini MotoGP Day 1 – Difficult day for Jack Miller aboard his Ducati Desmosedici GP. Due to the strong wind and the little grip present on the track, the Pramac standard-bearer was unable to make the most of the potential of his technical package, an aspect which led him to close this first day of work in Barcelona with the 11th time, just outside the top 10.

“A difficult day but I felt good, I like this layout and I enjoyed riding today. The grip is very low, especially if we compare it to Misano. I therefore turned without risking too much, it was very easy to make a mistake. Unfortunately I don't have good sensations with the medium tire but, due to tire allocation, I was only able to use the soft in the last 10 minutes of FP2. With this one I felt much better but I wasn't able to do a good lap, also due to a yellow flag. Tomorrow morning I'll try again to get into Q2."

Statements Bradley Smith GP Barcelona MotoGP Day 1

“I think it was a challenging day for everyone, especially with regards to rear grip. Here it seems rather difficult to bring the tire to temperature, also because it is a few degrees lower than in previous years. It takes a few laps to find the feeling and I'm curious to see what will happen tomorrow, given that in FP3 and qualifying I don't think it will be possible to aim for a flying lap but rather to gradually increase the pace. With the RS-GP we historically put little stress on the tire and this is a disadvantage at the moment, we need to analyze the data and try to improve from this point of view."
